How Accommodation Categorisation Works in Montenegro
What star ratings and accommodation types mean to guests, and which details a listing should clearly display.

The category and stated accommodation type help guests understand the basic standard, but a listing must contain specific, up-to-date information. Clearly separate details about the entire property from the capacity, beds, prices and availability of each individual unit.
What guests expect from a listing
Owners should state the actual amenities, arrival rules, the address or approximate location, and show photos of the spaces guests will genuinely use. Do not use labels such as “verified” or “luxury” without a clear basis.
A well-maintained listing saves time
A well-structured listing reduces repeated questions and improves the quality of direct enquiries. Update the calendar, seasonal prices and contact details regularly — guests who find accurate answers in the listing send more specific enquiries.
